Message from the Chief

Welcome to the official website of the Lavon Police Department. It is both an honor and a privilege to serve the citizens of Lavon and to lead a department committed to professionalism, integrity, and public service.

While law enforcement is often viewed as the frontline response to crime, maintaining a safe and secure community is a shared responsibility. The prevention and reduction of crime cannot be achieved by police efforts alone—it requires an engaged, informed, and cooperative community. Our officers are dedicated to suppressing criminal activity, identifying offenders, and taking appropriate enforcement action when necessary. However, our effectiveness is significantly enhanced through strong partnerships with the citizens we serve.

Crime occurs when both the intent and the opportunity are present. While we cannot always control intent, we can work together to reduce opportunity. Strategic deployment of police resources, proactive enforcement, and community-based crime prevention initiatives are essential components of this effort. Equally important is the active participation of our residents—remaining vigilant, reporting suspicious or criminal activity, and taking steps to safeguard their neighborhoods.

The Lavon Police Department is committed to fostering trust and collaboration within our community. Through transparency, communication, and service-oriented policing, we strive to build lasting relationships that strengthen public safety and enhance quality of life.

Since joining the Lavon Police Department in 1999, it has been my distinct pleasure to serve this exceptional community. I remain deeply committed to ensuring that Lavon continues to be a safe, welcoming, and thriving place to live, work, and raise a family.

Together, through partnership and shared responsibility, we will continue to protect and preserve the values that make Lavon a remarkable community.

“The Lavon Police Department is dedicated to serving its community with professionalism, integrity, and respect.”
